Hi there! As I sit here typing this it is Spring, but it is cold, rainy and windy with a Winter storm warning. Seams Mother Nature is a little bit confused. So how about another AAA Cards Challenge?!
Perfect Day is the theme for AAA Cards CAS Game #113.This is another tough one for me, since I really do not believe in “perfect”. So much brings me joy. Growing up I always thought it would be nice if everyone could just get along and be friends. I wish this to this day. All of us are unique and special in our own way. We can learn and grow from one another. All of us have good and bad days.
So, a “perfect” day would be a day people are kind, honest and grateful. It makes me smile when I hear people saying thank you. It makes me smile that much more when people actually mean it.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut and fold an A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) top folding cardbase.
- Cut a panel of Kraft cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″.
- Stamp flower on Kraft cardstock. Start with the solid layer of the flower. I first stamped a couple of times with a white pigment ink. Heat set and then applied a couple layers of yellow dye ink. Then stamp floral outline in a dark brown.
- Take the coordinating flower die and dry emboss using your favorite die-cutting machine.
- Stamp sentiment in a dark brown on matching Kraft cardstock. Trim around sentiment and cut one side on an angle.
- Adhere the sentiment to the card panel using foam adhesive and then adhere the card panel to the card base using your favorite adhesive.
- Send card to someone you want to thank.
We would love to have you play along with us at AAA Cards!

I found this challenge difficult too. Loved your words and I totally agree – it is wonderful when people are actually kind, honest and grateful because they mean it – so often I encounter people who want to be praised for appearing to be like that (often when they haven’t actually behaved in such a way), which always strikes me as odd!

You’ve created a stunning card, Tracie! What I loved even more today were the words of your text! To all of it I say a heartfelt, “AMEN!!” Hugs, Darnell

I love the yellow on Kraft. And yellow roses have been a favorite of mine for many years. Respect for others is such a basic rule to live by. How much less troubled our world would be if this were practiced by all.

I never meet nice, kind people in traffic, so none of those days would be perfect for me, But i know what you mean it’s just hard to find those peeps, esp in rush hour

I so enjoyed reading your thoughts on a perfect day and I think you are so right. Wouldn’t it be lovely if everyone was just kind and caring and respectful of others. Thanks you for this beautiful card and heart warming post.

Simply fabulous! I love that stamp. Great choice of colours … it works so well on the kraft card. The dry embossing just lifts the design to a whole new level. Just a beautiful card.
