Hello Friends! It is time for another challenge at AAA Cards. Come join in the fun and create and share a clean and simple, inspired by nature themed card.
Tic-Tac-Toe | AAA Cards CAS Game #115
Today, I have a one layer floral card to share with you. I created a watercolor look by spritzing the stamp with water after applying ink.
I had so much fun creating this card. It was effortless and the result is stunning.
Watercolor cardstock was not necessary. I had great results using Neenah 110# cardstock.
How about another photo.
And the final photo.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut and fold an A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) top folding cardbase.
- Stamp flower stem and flower on cardbase – Apply ink to stem, spritz with water and then stamp. I applied two colors of green to the stem. Let the stamp sit on the cardbase for 15-20 seconds to allow ink to absorb. Repeat with the flower. This flower is two layers. I used a lighter color for the base layer and a darker shade for the second layer. I also allowed it to dry before adding the second layer.
- Stamp sentiment.
We would love to have you play along with us at AAA Cards!

Hi Tracie! Such a simple yet elegant card. I love how you have achieved the water color look by spritzing the ink with water before stamping. Thanks for the tip of letting the the stamp sit for a bit, i shall keep that in mind. I can’t wait to try out this fabulous technique of yours. Using more than one ink surely gives more depth and dimension to the flower. Lovely CAS card inspired by nature. Hugs – Bharati
