Hello Friends! The leaves are beginning to change in West Michigan. Soon the trees will be filled with beautiful leaves like the one in the below image. This brings me to the new AAA Cards challenge. The theme of AAA Cards CAS Game #99 is Autumn Colors.
For my card I did some fun ink blending. This would be a super simple card to reproduce in a plethora of color combinations.
This is an A2 top folding card. I used Kraft cardstock because it felt like autumn to me. Both the pretty leaves stencil and the sentiment are from Catherine Pooler’s recent Stamp of Approval collection, which has long sold old. They will be available in a few months. I placed the stencil on top of my cardstock and taped off a section with frog tape. I then ink blended using three colors going from lightest to darkest. So, yellow moving to red. To add some further interest to the ink blended leaves I scored one line above the row and two lines below the row. This is a simple way to add a little bit of detail to a clean and simple card. Then I stamped the sentiment and added a couple of self-adhesive rhinestones.
Play along with us at AAA Cards for your chance to win an in stock stamp set of your choice from our sponsor, Uniko. We look forward to seeing what you create. (Also, make sure to check-out what my amazing teammates and the guest designer created.)

Gorgeous card. Now this is why you are a designer! Who would of thought of putting score lines on. It makes a BIG difference. Thankyou for sharing. X.

Really pretty, Tracie! I love how you are so creative with your details by adding score lines to define your stenciled leaves 🙂

Beautiful card! Love the graphic look! Hugs Åsa
Such a super stencil, love its retro feel. The scored lines are a really neat touch – will store this idea away for future use!
as you say a plethora of colors could be used, but I kinda love these ones against the craft background, pretty.
