AAA Cards Challenge 138 – Along the Edge + Sewing

Hello Friends! It is time for challenge 138 at AAA Cards. We are challenging you to create a clean and simple card with your design being along the edge + an optional twist to include sewing.

We can never have enough thank you cards….

This card started with the stitching. I created the stitching holes with a cross stitch die from Paper Smooches and stitched three rows using a DMC Perle Cotton 5 variegated thread. Then I trimmed around the stitching.

On a white cardbase, I randomly stamped the fill and outline of Altenew Leaf Canopy, along the left edge of the card. I proceeded to adhere the cross-stitched element to the bottom of the card and then stamped the sentiment above it.

Do you cross-stitch? I recently started cross-stitching again after a 20+ year break and am really enjoying it.
