Hello Friends! For challenge 149 at AAA Cards we are challenging you to create a clean and simple card with your design being on up to one third of the card and an optional twist of an inlaid die.
Thank you for being a friend…
My card was inspired by all of the monarch butterflies that have been fluttering by recently. The Thermoweb / Gina K Designs – Petals and Wings stamp set has a cute whimsical butterfly that I have been wanting to create with for a while now.

- Prepare an A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) top folding cardbase using Gina K Designs – Sweet Mango cardstock.
- Trim a Neenah Classic Crest 110 Solar White card panel to 3-3/4″ x 5″.
- Using the Thermoweb / Gina K Designs Petals and Wings stamp set: Stamp the butterfly (Gina K Designs – Sweet Mango) and the sentiment (Gina K Designs – Tomato Soup) on the lower 1/3 of the card panel.
- Using the Thermoweb / Gina K Designs Petals and Wings die set: Die-cut the butterfly. (Also die-cut 4 additional butterflies for dimension.)
- Using the Thermoweb / Gina K Designs Petals and Wings stencil and Glitz Glitter Gel – Black: Stencil the butterfly on the stamped die-cut. (Tip: Clean stencil immediately after applying the gel. If you let it dry prior to cleaning, you will risk scratching your stencil when cleaning. This is due to the glitter.)
- Wait for the Glitz Glitter Gel to dry and then adhere the butterfly die-cuts together with your favorite adhesive.
- Adhere the card panel to the cardbase and then inlay the layered die-cut.
