Hello Everyone! It is time for me to share another project for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. This card was inspired by the Celebration: Stencil Techniques class that was taught by the talented Laurel Beard.
For my card I used the Altenew Dahlia A stencil and applied a translucent embossing paste on a colored card panel. This needed to be set aside to dry a couple of hours. (Tip: Wash your tools immediately, otherwise you will have a difficult time cleaning off the medium.) Once the panel was dry I adhered it to an A2 top folding Neenah 110# card base. Apply clear wink of stella to the non stenciled areas. This leaves a nice sparkle throughout. The sentiment (Altenew Frosted Garden) is popped up on a thin strip of black cardstock. I love how the bright white embossing stands out.
Here is a close-up of my card that shows the sparkle better. I also like the lines resembling crackle in portions of the stencil. I usually either ink blend when using stencils or emboss with a die cutting machine. Maybe I will try using embossing pastes more often. This was fun!
Coming soon is a card for the Easy Die Cutting Techniques course.

Fabulous, Tracie! The clear-embossing paste does wonders in this CAS card!
