Hello Everyone! How about another fun project for the Altenew Educator Certification Program?! Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by the For The Guys class and was taught by the fabulous Jennifer Rzasa.
For my card I focused on geometrics and artistic techniques. My card is a top folding A2 card with a couple of simple layers. I started out by using the Altenew Cube Stencil to emboss a geometric pattern on the white panel. Then proceeded on to ink blending. I moved the stencil up and to the right slightly to off set the pattern a little. First, I ink blended with Altenew Industrial Diamond and then I added areas of Altenew Pure Graphite. Once that was done I added some splatter using Altenew Pure Graphite. (Tip: Apply ink to a stamp block, mist with water and then take a paint brush and lightly flick the mixture onto your project.)Here is a close-up of my card. To keep my card monotone and masculine feeling I added a simple sentiment in black using the Altenew Bold Alphabet die set. (Tip: Die-cut multiple pieces of the same item and glue together to add dimension.)
Coming soon is a card for the Let It Shine course, I just have to write up the blog post. Cards for Celebrations: Stencil Techniques and Easy Die Cutting Techniques are also complete and blog posts need to be written. Then only two more cards remain in the first part of the program before I get to work on my project.
