Hello Everyone! How about another card for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. This time I am sharing a card that was inspired by the Let It Shine class that was taught by the bubbly glitter Queen, Carissa Wiley.
After watching the videos for this course, I could not get gold glitter out of my head. I headed to my Altenew bin and looked through my stamp sets until I found a flower that would look nice with some gold glitter accents. Aha, Altenew Frosted Garden was just what I was looking for. I proceeded to stamp one of the flowers in Altenew Warm Sunshine on a Neenah 110# solar white piece of cardstock. Then I trimmed the panel down to 2-1/2″x3-7/8″. I also trimmed a piece of My Favorite Things Lemon Drop cardstock to 2-5/8″x4″. Back to the stamped panel, I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and used a VersaMark pen to apply to small areas of the leaves and petals. I applied Zing Gold Glitter and heat embossed. The metallic and sparkle with the yellow and white combination is really bold and happy. It makes me think of sunshine.
The lemon drop panel and decorated panel are adhered together and then popped up with craft foam on the A2 cardbase. (I created three of these cards and have started several more with different flowers and colors.)
I was happy to find I had a nice coordinating envelope, which I decorated with a heart and sentiment from the Altenew Crafty Friends stamp set. Both are stamped with Altenew Jet Black ink and then I colored the heart with Zig Metallic Gold pen.
Later I will be sharing the card I created for the Celebrations: Stencil Techniques course.
