Hello Everyone! I am going to give something new a try. Make sure to provide feedback, suggestions and recommendations. It is no secret my admiration for Concord and 9th and their amazing products. I am sure you can understand, right?! I have been happily supporting them since the release of their tree ring stamp. There rarely goes a month that I do not purchase something from the release. So, I want to start showcasing them on my blog. I will work on being more timely with my post though.
Honestly, I keep coming up with more ideas. I had to stop creating and get this blog post done, so I could share with all of you!
The first three cards are made using the Magnolia Wreath Stamp Set and Dies. This is the first time I created using the partial-die-cutting technique. (Yes, I have turned rectangles into squares, but nothing like this.) This card is a lot more simple than what it looks. I will be making more. The layering stamps line up so easy as do the dies. Speaking of dies, clever, there is even a die for the center of the wreath. The first layer of the wreath is stamped in a dark green ink and the second layer is heat embossed. I applied ink from my ink pad directly to white card stock for the magnolia flowers. Then heat embossed three times with clear embossing powder. A nuvo drop was applied to the center of the magnolia flower. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver metallic.
A little quicker version of the first card. The wreath is stamped using two dark greens. The dark green is then clear heat embossed. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold glitter.
I am always playing with backgrounds. When I first started creating cards for this project I stamped a panel filled with the joy stamp found in the Joyful Noel Stamp Set. I kept trying different things and then at the end stamped a two tone gray wreath directly on top of the stamping and added the magnolia embellishment.
Here are the three magnolia wreath cards shown together. All fun and unique. And so, so many more possibilities.
A super quick card using the dies from Joyful Noel Die Set.
The above three cards are also created using the Joyful Noel Stamp and Die Set. Sorry, this picture does not do them justice. I was having a difficult time capturing the light blue cardstock.
The above three cards make me smile. They were created using dies from both the Magnolia Die Set and the Joyful Noel Die Set. The sentiments are heat embossed in rose gold.
And the last card for now was created using the magnolia wreath die set and the joy die. I shared this on Instagram a couple of days ago. The background is ink blended with distress oxides. I spritzed with water. Once it dried I then spritzed with some shimmer. I created a couple of snow hills with cardstock and then glued cotton on them. Joy is die cut in red cardstock and then clear heat embossed.
I will be creating more cards using these stamps and dies. So make sure to follow me. These cards will be part of my donation to the Caring Hearts Card Drive. I tried to confirm the card drive for this year, but have not received a response. Hopefully, something will be shared soon. If not, they will be going to local nursing homes. Hopefully, I inspired you to create a couple of Christmas cards to donate.
Thank you for sticking around to the end. There is a giveaway.
