Welcome to the Catherine Pooler Designs, Unsinkable Release Blog Hop. You should have arrived from Susan. The Unsinkable Release has a sea-side and beach feel.
I have six cards to share with you today, so I will be going over them quickly. I am happy to answer questions. Please leave in the comments and I will reply as soon as possible.
Good to Sea You!
A fun clean and simple layered card with the main focus being on the Salt and Seaweed Patterned Paper. The sentiment is from the Hook, Line and Sinker stamp set and is stamped using Seafoam ink. Use the Circles Dies to die-cut the sentiment layers. Embellish card with glitter cardstock and clear drops.
Ahoy
Another fun card using the Salt and Seaweed Patterned Paper and the Ahoy Die. Die-cut Ahoy twice with white cardstock. Apply Juniper Mist ink to one of the die-cuts, spritz with water, blot dry and cover with crystal glaze. Adhere the ahoy die-cuts together slightly off balance leaving a shadow. Assemble card and then apply glitter drops along the stripes of the patterned paper. Fun!!!!!
Shell Parade Trio
This trio of cards focuses on the Shell Parade Stencil.
Sea You Soon
Create an ink blended background using the Shell Parade Stencil and the following inks: It’s a Girl, Be Mine and Party Dress. Using the same three colors, stamp the shell and the sentiment on white cardstock and die-cut. Both of the stamps are from the She Sells Seashells stamp set. For the second layer of the shell emboss with Wow! Wanderlust Glitter. Assemble the card.
Sea You Soon…
Create the stenciled background by spritzing the stencil from the prior card and laying a piece of white cardstock over it. It will pick up the remaining ink off of the stencil. Isn’t this a fun look and an easy way to make another card?! Use stamps from the She Sells Seashells stamp set to create the sentiment panel. The images are stamped using It’s a Girl ink and Party Dress ink. The sentiment layer is colored via the direct ink to paper technique using Party Dress ink. Assemble card.
I Love You to the Beach and Back
Jazz up an ink blended stenciled background with a layer of glass bead glitter gel. This background is ink blended using the same stencil as the prior two cards, but using the following colors: Peach Bellini, Coral Cabana and Samba and then coated with glass bead glitter gel. This will take awhile to dry. Create the sentiment panel using stamps from the She Sells Seashells stamp set and using Coral Cabana ink and Samba ink. Assemble card once the background is completely dry.
Waving Hello
Throwing this last card in for fun. A piece of Sand Dunes cardstock is used for the background. I sprayed it lightly with water and glitter mist and then crinkled the edges. This gives it somewhat of a sand like appearance. The crab is stamped using Rockin’ Red ink and the sentiment is clear heat embossed. Both the crab and the sentiment are from the Hook, Line and Sinker stamp set.
Thank you for spending some time with me. Enjoy the rest of the blog hop!
