Hello Everyone! Welcome to Day 2 of the Catherine Pooler Designs Zen Garden Blog Hop. Today we are showcasing the LOVE GROWS STAMPS and DIES.
For my first card, I created a flower garden of echinacea or more commonly known as coneflowers. It is cold and snowy in Michigan, but it will not be long and our echinacea will be growing. The purple ones are the most common variety, but we have several different colors. This stamp could also be used as a daisy. Stamp the flowers on a card panel. Create a couple of masks for the flowers. These make stamping the stems easier. Apply the masks and stamp the stems. Stamp sentiment. Adhere card panel to card base. I also added glossy accents and nuvo aqua shimmer glitter gloss to the flowers.
(Love Grows Stamp. Cardstock: CP White and CP Smoke. Ink: Black Jack, Sugared Lavender, Icing on the Cake, Spruce, Versafine Onyx Black. Miscellaneous: Glossy Accents, Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss, Post-its, adhesive.)
For my second card, I again was inspired by flower gardens. I must be ready for Spring. I stamped a floral background on a white panel, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and cut down to 4″ x 5-1/2″. Then I adhered the panel to a white card base and added a thin black strip of cardstock along the left border of the card panel. Use the thanks die and die-cut three times. Glue together and then heat emboss with clear embossing powder. I applied two layers of embossing powder. Adhere sentiment to the card and then add nuvo drops to the centers of the flowers. This was a super fun card to create.
(Love Grows Stamp Set. Thanks Die. Cardstock: CP White, CP Midnight and Neenah 110# Classic Crest Solar White. Ink: Shea Butter, Green Tea, Eucalyptus, Sugared Lavender and Royal Treatment. Miscellaneous: Wow Clear Embossing Powder, Nuvo Jewel Drops – Orange Marmalade and Adhesive.)
For my final card for today I was inspired to use all of the beautiful inks in the Spa Collection. With the help of the MISTI and the long stem from the Love Grows Stamp Set this was quite simple to accomplish. Position the stem in the MISTI leaving room to move your card panel around. Stamp in rainbow order, moving your cardstock 1/4″ each time. Stamp the sentiment and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Adhere panel to card base with craft foam and adhesive. This card makes me happy. It may end up in a frame in my craft room.
(Love Grows Stamp Set. Cardstock: CP White and Neenah 110# Classic Crest Solar White. Ink: Spa Collection and Versafine Onyx Black. Miscellaneous: WOW Clear Embossing Powder, Craft Foam and Adhesive.)
