You’re Sweet
Well, anytime I can turn something into a flower I give it my best effort and that is exactly what I did. The coffee cup is the perfect container for a small flowering plant, you just have to be careful you don’t overwater it. The cup and flowers are from the Perfect Blend stamp set and coordinating dies. I started by stamping the cup (something borrowed) and flower arrangement (lime rickey and flirty fuchsia) on a piece of Catherine Pooler Designs White cardstock. Stamp another cup and then die-cut. You will need to trim off the top section of the coffee cup, where the coffee would show. Adhere the die-cut cup with foam tape where the stamped coffee cup is. White heat emboss you’re sweet (Woohoo Stamp Set) on Catherine Pooler Designs Smoke cardstock, trim and adhere with foam tape to the coffee cup handle area. I used the small flower like image and stamped it repetitively (VersaMark) and clear embossed on the front of a Smoke card base. Adhere the white panel to the card base with foam tape. Finally I added some pale periwinkle nuvo crystal drops to the centers of the flowers in the cup.
Hooray
My second card was super fun to create. First I took the Scattered Circles stencil and dry embossed it on Catherine Pooler Designs White cardstock. I thought about moving the stencil around and doing some ink blending, but I changed my mind. Instead I used the three cute star stamps in the Woohoo stamp set and created a background. The small stars (Tiara) are stamped on the embossed circles. The two larger stars (Juniper Mist and Bellini) are then stamped repeatedly to fill in some of the white space. While I was stamping the stars I kept thinking congratulations, yay or job well done. So I decided to use the hooray die-cut for the sentiment. I die-cut hooray three times using Midnight cardstock and then glued together. To add some shine I added two layers of clear embossing on the top. Then I adhered the stacked die-cut to the stamped background. I didn’t want to add any more dimension to this card, but I did add a layer of Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight cardstock behind the stamped background and then adhered to a white card base.
There are limitless creative options with the Celebrate Friends Collection. We can’t wait for you to get yours. We are so anxious to see what you create.
