Hello Everyone! I was pleasantly surprised when Color Throwdown followed me on Instagram this week. (Thank you!!!!!) Yes, of course, I returned the love. It is important us crafty friends support one another. Color makes me happy, so I had to check out this, new to me, challenge. Color Throwdown #375 has some really pretty colors and the design team provided a ton of inspiration.
Gorgeous colors, right?!I had so much fun creating this card. I will not fib I spent a good amount of time on this card and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy!
I immediately thought flowers. Beautiful Day by Altenew, was close by and waiting to be inked up. The first two layers of the flowers are stamped in Altenew Crisp Inks Buttercream and Warm Sunshine. The third layer of the flower is stamped in Papertrey Ink Orange Zest. The outline of the flower and the sentiment are stamped in Papertrey Ink Smokey Shadow. The three layers of the leaves are stamped in Altenew Crisp Inks Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen.
Offset outline adds a more artsy look. I also shaded the outside of the stamped image using a cool gray Copic marker.
Tone on tone background stamping in Papertrey Ink Soft Stone. I just love background stamping. It adds such a personal touch.
