Hi Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing with you a card I created for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes.
Have a beautiful day
It all started with some easy coloring with my new Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. I was not planning on creating a card, just practice my coloring.I stamped a background using the pretty branch from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day stamp set, which was part of the April Card Kit. The kit is sold out, but you can purchase the stamp set separately. The branch is versatile as you can use it to create leaves or even flowering buds. I went with a gray and coral / pink color palette. I enjoy coloring, but I am not an expert, so I keep it simple. After coloring the buds, I traced the outlines with a Copic multiliner. Then I used a neutral gray Copic marker to color the background. I proceeded to use a rag with a little bit of Copic blending solution to add the speckled pattern to the background. I learned this from Kathy Racoosin at one of her coloring challenge road trips. This technique is a ton of fun.I created a layered heart which I used as a sentiment panel. The sentiment is stamped using Simon Says Stamp, Teeny Bikini. I added a couple of old enamel dots to add a little more interest and dimension.
Thank you for stopping by. Hope you are having a beautiful day =)
