Hello Everyone! Yes, I know it is the middle of February….but there is something about the January 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit that keeps wanting my attention.
Is it these beautiful ink colors? YES…… but there is more……
It is the rose filled hearts that have me attached. I was in awe when sneak peeks of this kit started popping up in social media. I had to purchase the kit. So, I did just that.
SOFT PINK
BUBBLEGUM
STRAWBERRY
MINT JULEP
TIDE POOL
PLAIN
The kit came with white wood grain card stock that wanted some color. So, I applied each color directly to the card stock from the ink cube. Easy and very pretty. I stamped and die-cut a bunch of the rose filled hearts. The detail layer of the hearts is stamped in versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I also die-cut the heart using craft foam to add some dimension. I kept the cards simple because I loved the interest of the wood grain and dimensional hearts. I just added a little bow and a small rhinestone/pearl embellishment to most of the hearts.
This is the inside of each of the cards. A simple heart with a beautiful sentiment, both from the kit.
So what do you think? I kind of feel bad because this kit is no longer available, but I wanted to share with you. I hope you are not too upset with me. Would a giveaway make up for it? Also, you can now subscribe to the My Monthly Hero Kits. I am not typically a kit person, but I love these kits. They are very affordable and well thought out.
