Hello Friends.
I am excited to be participating in the first I Care Blog Hop to benefit the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on World Suicide Prevention Day 2018!!
Joanne Soukup of Perky Penny Paper Arts©, in collaboration with Simon Says Stamp©, organized this blog hop to raise money and awareness for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and World Suicide Prevention Day. When she contacted me, I knew right away that I wanted to join in!
For information on the blog hop, the I Care Stamp set and the wonderful ways you can help read her post here.

Suicide is not something that I have had to personally deal with. I know of four people who have committed suicide that I went to school with, but we were not friends and it happened after we graduated. So, I do not have details. I can’t even begin to imagine what they and their family and friends experienced. Honestly, I would not even know what to say to someone who was in this situation. In this type of situation I do not know if there is even a right thing to say besides to let them know you care and you are there for them.

For my contribution, I made a few cards to donate locally in hopes they will help someone. The large heart is stamped in purple and the small hearts are stamped in turquoise. The layer of colored cardstock is green. And the sentiment is stamped in back. I searched National Suicide to find some inspirational colors to use.

For this card I also used the hearts and stamped them in purple, blue and gray. It was helpful to use a stamp positioning tool and grid paper to stamp the design. The sentiment is white heat embossed on dark grey cardstock. And the layer of colored cardstock is a blue that coordinates with the blue hearts.
I am a firm believer that a simple card can brighten someone’s day. Hopefully I have inspired you to take part in this event and you will purchase the I Care Stamp Set to help the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. And once you receive your stamp set you will take it a step further and create one card or several cards to help others.

Beautiful cards Tracie & thank you. Suicide has touched my family more than once when it was hushed topic on what happened. This made it so hard for the grieving to heal. I am so glad awareness is being freely & openly done by so many.

Such beautiful cards. I love the simplicity of the “You are Loved” cards and the way the message is unmistakable. Love the “wreath” look and colours of the other card.
