Welcome to Day 3 of the New Craft Stash Blog Hop. This fun hop started when a group of friends were chatting about creating with new products. New meaning: supplies that we’ve had sitting around collecting dust that need a little attention, supplies that we have just received, supplies that are new to us, etc….
I am happy you are here and will keep this as short as possible considering the size of the hop. If you have any questions make sure to leave them in the comments.
Hmmm..I have a super sized bin of items that need to be inked up. It was not an easy task figuring out what I wanted to use for my project. I flip flopped back and forth between a Catherine Pooler set and a Concord and 9th set. Being on Catherine’s Creative Team, her amazing products get a ton of love from me, so I decided to create with a Concord and 9th set that needed some attention.
Thanks a bunch friend
My card uses the Concord and 9th, Posie fill-in stamp and die bundle. This bundle makes it so easy to create all different styles of cards. I generally stick to clean and simple with a little bit of layering. My initial plan was to create several of these cards in different color combinations and keep them as one-layer cards. But once I started creating, I kept adding more. The fill-in design makes it so inviting.
There is really no special technique used on this card. It is all simple stamping and die-cutting. I also added dimension by adhering the die-cut flowers with foam tape. The peach panel is also adhered with foam tape to the card base. The card is jazzed up a little by adding some gelly roll sparkle pen to the leaves and to the flower that is partially on the sentiment panel. I used Concord and 9th’s pearl glitter paper for the die-cut sentiment.
My flowers are die-cut using colored cardstock and then I used the coordinating stamp to stamp in the same color. The tone on tone look is subtle and nice.
A detailed supply list is located at the bottom of my blog post.
Above is a picture at a different angle and a littler closer up so you can see more of the sparkle and dimension. This card was so much fun to create. I hope you enjoyed =)

i like it!!! it could be a one layer card if you chose to make it again, which is nice. then again, the dimension is fun. as someone else said, i find myself thinking about who i’m mailing things to, so that sometimes dictates the layering.

When sending cards to friends overseas it can get expensive the more layers you have. I love the dimension you card has.
Tracie says
Thank you =) Yes, that is why I typically stay to one-layer cards. But, it is actually fun creating super special cards every now and then. Even sending in the states a layered card would cost $3 to ship because I would ship in a padded envelope. What does one do? I donate a lot of cards to card drives, so I make a lot of multiples and don’t even share all that I do. Lately, I have been trying to devote more time to creating and learning. I am embracing new skills and allowing myself to spend more time on things that make me happy. I am drawn to clean and simple cards, so for the most part that is where I am right now. Happy Creating! Coral, I would love to send you a card sometime. Feel free to email me your address and I will add you to my distribution. =)
