Hello Friends! Welcome to Stamping Smiles Designs, Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Nine (#ssdtictactoechallenge). Happy to take a break from some not so much fun stuff to share with you my creation for challenge nine.
Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Nine
(Choose any 3 elements in a row.)My Choices:
Flowers / Wood Veneers / Things That Fly
- Flowers – Floral Background
- Wood Veneers – Wood Veneer Hearts
- Things That Fly – Die-Cut Butterfly
By now it is no surprise I truly enjoy stamping fun backgrounds. There are so many cute flowers in the Enchanted Garden Set I just selected one and started stamping. I then die-cut the panel using the large Avery Elle Wonky Stitch die. Next I had to decide how to display the sentiment. My final decision was heat embossed on a sheet of vellum. The vellum sheet was die-cut with the small Avery Elle Wonky Stitch die. Flowers were taken care of so now what to do for wood veneers and things that fly. Well I truly love flowers, so I selected a couple of heart wood veneers. And I enjoy planting flowers that attract butterflies, so I just had to use the enchanted butterfly die-cut. I positioned the hearts and butterfly around the sentiment. This was a super fun card to create!
Supplies Used:
Stamp of Approval – Sugar Pea Designs – Enchanted Garden Stamp Set & Enchanted Butterfly Die / Avery Elle – Wonky Stitches Die Set / Neenah 110# Solar White Cardstock / Ellen Essentials Vellum / VersaFine Onyx Black Ink / Clear Embossing Powder / Yellow cardstock from my scrap drawers (sorry don’t know what color or brand) / Heart Wood Veneers (sorry don’t know what brand, I store all of my veneers in one container.)

Thank you, Shannon. I do not use veneers too often, but thought it was the perfect time to incorporate something from our design team package. I like it for something different. =)

Hi Tracie, this is a sweet card. I totally agree with you – stamping flowers as a background is fun. Whenever I do it, I try to remember to stamp a whole sheet 8.5 x 11. That way I can use it on several projects. I saw your list of products, but was wondering where the sentiment comes from? I like that “Thank You.” Is it from the new Stamp of Approval? Hope you have a great week. JJ

Thank You, Jeanne! Yes, it sure is a time savor when stamping 8-1/2″ x 11″ backgrounds, but I did not do that this time =( The stamp set is indeed from the newest Stamp of Approval Collection – Beautiful World. The stamp set is designed by Sugar Pea Designs and is called Enchanted Garden. I sure do love the font =)
