Hello Friends! Welcome to Stamping Smiles Designs, Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Ten (#ssdtictactoechallenge). Is everyone having a good weekend spending time with family and friends or creating? My life is filled with craziness right now because of the necessity to relocate. That to me means progress and getting closer to being able to create more cards. Now on to my card!
Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Ten
(Choose any 3 elements in a row.)My Choices:
Chevron / Ombre / Vellum
- Chevron – Bottom layer of tag.
- Ombre – Stamped background.
- Vellum – Top layer of tag.
For this challenge my goal was to incorporate ombre. There are many choices since ombre is the center element. I have a bunch of pretty chevron patterned paper that were staring at me. I selected the cheerful yellow one. Yellow just always makes me think of sunshine, which is happy. What else is happy? Smiles, right?! I think so anyway. I am trying to incorporate more vellum into my cards, so this was the perfect opportunity for that too! Yay!!!!!
The card base is a cheerful and bright yellow cardstock that was sitting on my craft table. It was not in its proper storage location, so I do not have the name. The ombre stamped panel was die cut using the largest die from Lawn Fawn, Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. The neat YOU stamp was part of the Stamp of Approval, Beautiful World Collection (CAS-ual Fridays, All about YOU Stamp Set). The ombre YOU is stamped using Altenew Crisp Inks: Arctic, Persian Blue and Sapphire. The tag (CAS-ual Fridays, Tag Buddies) is die-cut twice, once with a chevron patterned paper and once with vellum. I wanted to incorporate the YOU from the background into the sentiment. YOU make me smile was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed on the vellum. A fun bow was added to the tag using Lawn Fawn Goldenrod Hemp Cord. The tag was then popped up on the card. So fun!!!!!!
I can’t wait to see what you create. Head over to Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Ten for entry details and to see the amazing creations from the rest of the design team members. When sharing your creations we would love for you to use #ssdtictactoechallenge. Thank You!!

Hi Tracie, this is an attractive card. I like the colors you chose. I am always amazed when I read descriptions of cards as far as how many different products we use, even for fairly simple cards like yours! Good choices!
