Happy Friday Everyone! It is time for a new Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge and I have some exciting news to share with you. The theme is, “Emboss Like a Boss“. Embossing is magical, so I know you will want to play. And, I am ecstatic to be one of the guest designers. (More about this a little later.) For now, I want to inspire you that much more to Emboss Like a Boss with us!
Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group – This is where you will join the Simon Says Flickr group. Then go to the discussion section. Read the group instructions and then go to Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #80, where you will find more details on how to play.
YOU ARE THE BEST
The first card I created is heat embossed. It is a standard A2 top folding card with a card base in Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue. The heat embossed panel is stamped using the lovely Simon Says Stamp Cling Rubber Stamp Kaleidoscope Leaves. Isn’t it a beauty? It is from the recent STAMPtember release. Inspiration using this background is popping up all over social media. This is such a fun, versatile background stamp. I used Ranger liquid platinum to heat emboss. I really love the look of the heat embossed liquid platinum on Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. Within the next couple of days I will sneak in a few others I created.
You are the best was a fitting sentiment for my first card. That is all I could think of when I was standing in line at Joanns when I received the guest design invite from sweet, Barb. I have been trying the past couple of years to help Simon Says Stamp with their STAMPtember release. Well, this year was not my year again. But, it kind of was. I hurried up and placed a STAMPtember order, crossing my fingers it would arrive in time for me to create these cards. Just in time, they arrived. To me, I still got to help and that makes me happy. Thank you to both Simon Says Stamp and Barb. Both of you are the best!
The first part of the sentiment is Simon Says Stamp You Die. It is die-cut in Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue cardstock four times and glued together then clear heat embossed. There are three coats of clear embossing powder on the sentiment. The second part of the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp You Matter Stamp Set. It is stamped in versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I thought a pop of another color would look nice, so I added the three peach colored pearl drops.
WE’RE STRONGER TOGETHER
The next two cards I created are dry embossed using the Simon Says Stamp Stencil Stained Glass 1. I really love the hint of floral pattern that this stencil has. Now it was time to jazz up the white embossed panel a little bit. I could not resist using the Simon Says Stamp Together die. (Those who truly know me, know how much this word means to me.) Kindness and togetherness go hand in hand and we’re definitely stronger together! Together had to be displayed in rainbow fashion. The letters are all layered with three die-cuts. We’re stronger is from Simon Says Stamp Together Stamp Set and is stamped in versafine onyx black. Then I added a couple of heart enamel accents to complete the cards. (Actually I did spray shimmer on the panels, but you can’t see it in the picture, sorry!)
I really hope you were inspired to play along with the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge. I can’t wait to see what you create. Simon Says Stamp will randomly select two entries for a $25 gift certificate.
