Happy Monday, Friends! I wanted to take a moment to share with you that there is a limited quantity of the Stamp of Approval Tropically Yours Collection available! How about some more inspiration too. (Also at the end of the post is the winner announcement for the $25 Gift Certificate from the New Craft Stash Blog Hop.)
I’ll Stand By YouThe details for this card can be found in the Stamp of Approval guide, but I do have two additional flamingo cards to share with you today.
Hello Gorgeous
The flamingos in the Stand Tall set are so much fun to create with. For this card I stamped a horizontal row of flamingos (be mine), flipping them 180 degrees each time. It was at this time I determined a colored layer would look nice, so I took a panel of white cardstock (4 x 5-1/4 inches) and applied coral cabana ink to all of the edges. Set aside and let dry. Trim down the panel with the flamingos to 3-3/4 x 5 inches. Stamp the sentiment in midnight. (Tip: This sentiment comes stacked, but if you are careful it can be cut-apart and easily stamped in a straight line. Even after cutting apart you can still nestle back together and stamp as designed.)
Stamp two more flamingos in coral cabana and then die-cut. Apply foam tape to both of the flamingos and adhere to the stamped card panel. By now the coral cabana ink colored card panel should be dry. Adhere to the card base with a tape runner. Then adhere stamped panel with a layer of craft foam and tape runner.
To add some sparkle to the gorgeous flamingo apply glossy accents and sprinkle Tim Holtz clear rock candy dry glitter on top. Set aside to dry.
Stand Tall and Be Fabulous
This card was inspired by the sentiment, “stand tall and be fabulous”. The flamingo is stamped in coral cabana and then die-cut. After determining the placement of the flamingo, I stamped the water in aquatini and the sentiment in midnight. This panel was then trimmed down to 3-3/4 x 5 inches. The flamingo is adhered to the card panel with foam tape. I also added some clear wink of stella, but was not able to capture it well in the photograph. I thought it would look pretty to use the border stamp in the set to create a little background on the card base. The border is stamped four times (mint to be) creating a diamond shaped pattern. Then the card panel is adhered to the card base with a layer of craft foam and adhesive.
