Hello Crafty Friends! The card I am sharing with you today is my submission for the Stamping Smiles Designs Design Team Call. Ka at Stamping Smiles Designs is launching a new and exciting challenge based on tic-tac-toe. It looks like a ton of fun, right?!
The Stamping Smiles Designs tic-tac-toe challenge is to create a card using 3 of the elements. Like tic-tac-toe, you need to choose 3 elements in a row. I selected the middle row which consists of one layer, embossing and kraft.
I created a top folding thank you card using Neenah Dessert Storm cardstock. I first stamped the sentiment and then the layering dahlias, both from The Ton Stamps Fresh Cut Dahlias stamp set. These flowers actually have three layers, but I did not use the base layer. Such amazing detail. I can not stop stamping with this fabulous pigment ink from Mama Elephant called Creative Color. I also added some lines with a thin black pen for a nice border. Thank you, Kathy of The Daily Marker for inspiring me to use lines in my creations.
I embossed both the sentiment and the dahlias with clear embossing powder. I think this gives the card just the right amount of sheen.
