Happy 2016 Everyone! I am happy to start of the year with Stamping Smiles Designs: Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge One. The amazing Ka at Stamping Smiles Designs is the owner of this new challenge. It is going to be so much fun and I hope you participate.

My Choices:

Gold | Celebrate | Background Stamping

1. Gold – I am a silver girl, but have been challenging myself to appreciate gold. The greeting is embossed using American Crafts Zing! Gold glitter finish embossing powder.
2. Celebrate – I selected to celebrate a birthday. The happy birthday sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites #12 Mini Stamp Set.
3. Background Stamping – I have been creating a lot of my own backgrounds lately. It is so much fun. I love it so much that I re-homed almost 100 6×6 paper pads this Summer. This background was created using the ton Rose Terrace Cling Background stamp. I applied distress ink directly with my mini distress ink cubes to the stamp, spritzed with water and then stamped on 110# Neenah cardstock. Select whatever colors make you happy. My favorite color is purple, so I selected seedless preserves and dusty concord. For the leaves I used mowed lawn and peeled paint. I am looking forward to giving this another try using watercolor paper.
